Syd Wong is an ICG 669 Unit Still Photographer born and raised in Vancouver, BC Canada.
From watching bonus features on DVD’s, attending live TV show tapings to walking past on-location shoots, any glimpse into the film world sparked her excitement to pursue the industry. Her photography journey started while shooting concerts and studying Radio Arts & Broadcast Journalism. Following that, she attended film school which was the catalyst needed to allow her to photograph stills on music videos, short films and now TV and film.
She’s been collaborative with various teams to photograph key art galleries, behind-the-scenes to additional marketing or art department materials. With the continuing demand for social content, Syd also works as an on-set social content creator and iPhone camera operator. The passion and awareness she brings to the set everyday doesn’t go unnoticed. Her bright energy and adaptiveness becomes a true asset when working in her various roles.
